Kate Middleton's Alexander McQueen Wedding Gown Details!
This is the dress of the
world has been waiting for and Kate Middleton certainly did not disappoint at
her Royal Wedding. The gorgeous bride stunned in a classic yet
artistic a bodice and lace gown designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. The dress's beautiful,
intricate train measures around 7 feet a modest train in comparison to many
previous royal brides. Ms Burton and Kate worked closely together to
design this iconic lace design, incorporating rose, thistle, daffodil, and the
shamrock – the four floral emblems of the United Kingdom. Kate accessorized the custom creation with an ivory
silk veil and a Cartier 'halo' tiara lent to Miss Middleton by The Queen. Her earrings, by Robinson Pelham are diamond-set
stylized oak leaves with a pear shaped cut - a personal gift to the Bride from
her parents on her Wedding Day. Kate’s lovely bouquet is made up of various flowers
hand picked for sentimental reasons: lily- of the- valley symbolizing the return
of happiness, Sweet William for gallantry, hyacinth for the love, and ivy for
fidelity, marriage, friendship, and affection. She couldn’t have looked more perfect for her
special day. Congrats to the new royal Miss Katherine Dutchess
of Cambridge!
